Does the htc Legend have a notifications light ?

yes, there is a led next to the speaker..

Okay thanks, this for emails sms's etc ? just thought it was a charging light

yes its for everything, however it only appears to be orange and green and not multi-coloured like the old trackball LEDs of previous phones

i think that with the first roms will be also possible to modify the speed and the colour of the led..

yeah..the notification light either is in Orange or in Green....
having a great experience on it..

there is an usefull app named Blink where you can set the frequency, events and timing etc.. of the LED notifications. The color setting of Blink don't work on the legend, only red and green unfortunately.
