full housing (silver) for htc desire

anyone found a place where to buy an full housing for the desire in silver? i got a urban brown but i prefer silver...

Do tell if you find one. Or black aswell,

full hosing not. Just the back cover can be silver.

Here in holland i saw it in full silver, also the side and front is silver, just looking for a site or shop who can order it or sell it

I asked the guy, (speaks engrish) and the add is actually for the housing not a battery. Appears that the chrome on the camera must be a sticker or something. Guess a guy would just have to order one, wait a month and see what it looks like.

i was wondering... say i purchased it, i was wondering how hard who it be to change it over and if it'll be dangerous to swap? and would i need special tools?

i actually mailed htc about this a few weeks ago because i wanted to see if i could pay to get them to change my brown casing to silver, this is what they told me:


Dear *** ********,

Dear ***, Thank you for contacting HTC. I understand that you would like to change the casing of your Desire phone into a silver colour. Unfortunately this is not option we currently offer to our Desire customers, the main reason is that the touch screen would also need to be removed and changed. Should you require any further assistance, don't hesitate to contact us again. Best regards Aurélie

thanks for that, i was teetering on the edge of buying it, but if theres all kinds of problems or extra replacements needed.... i think brown is a good colour now lol

i bought this the other day instead, i think its really great silicone case cuz it covers the whole phone and makes it look black lol
