Default Flash while recording video on Incredible

Sorry if this is a dumb question but is there a way to turn on the flash for video recording in the dark? If there is I can't seem to find it in options. Thanks

Unfortuntly, there is not. It's very lame as you can still see the flash icon but it is grayed out. Not sure why they did'nt just ad it. Maybe there will be a future hack that will allow it. Who knows.

You may be able to find a "flashlight" type app that turns the flash on/off and use that to turn it on prior to recording....not sure though.
Current Devices: Galaxy Note 2 (Verizon), Nexus 7 32GB (WiFi), OG Moto Droid, Xperia Play

Past Devices: T-mobile G1, MyTouch, HTC Incredible, Droid X, iPhone (for about 2 weeks), HTC Thunderbolt, Galaxy Nexus, Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet

I haven't been able to find an app for our incredible activating the dual LED Flash (as a flash light). Has anyone had any luck?

Since these phones are so thin, there's not much room for heat dissipation so it's likely the LEDs are not designed to stay on for long periods of time. That's probably why HTC didn't design the LED flash feature into the video mode.

Even when an LED torch application is developed for the Incredible, it's probably not a good idea to run the LEDs at full brightness for very long... unless someone wants to risk their Incredible to test it. Nothing like trial and error.

My moto droid running BB v.03 turned the flash on and off for video.. Not sure if he added something extra to make it work or if it was part of 2.2 camera settings.

When I first installed Incredilight, it would shut off while using the camcorder. After installing the leaked ota, it now stays on. Have no idea why, but it works great.
