the Evo 4G is CDMA
GSM = sim card
CDMA = no sim card
Not to mention the different network types, frequency's, etc
You can try to put a sim card in it, but it won't work, I am 100% sure

Sorry buddy, but you're out of luck, Like everyone stated above, the Evo is a cdma phone not a gsm phone. I don't see HTC releasing any Evo like phone phone any time soon, cause just released the Legend and The Desire not to long ago. Why not get the Desire? Sure, its missing the 4.3 inch screen, HDMI output, 8mp camera and 1.5mp front facing camera. But it's still a good phone.

Hah, you're kind!
"It doesn't have that, that, that, but it's still a good phone!" It sounded sarcastic in my head!
Remember how you guys were mad when the Touch HD got released only in Europe & UK (but then, after a while, luckily for you guys, got to the US)? If you do, then you will understand us.
At least, give us a right to be hoping for a release in EU.

Actually we never got the Touch HD in the States. Lucky for us we got the the HD2 6 months later after you guys got it. So like I said, you guys might get something similar or given better later on the year because it dosen't make sense for HTC to drop a better android device after just releasing the Desire. Reasons why Sprint and Verizon dropped the Nexus One.

That's all we need. Hope...
But you need to understand one thing. You know that saying: "What you can't have, you want the most"? That's exactly how I feel right now!
But what you say is completely true though.
And also, I never knew that you guys didn't get Touch HD in the States.

I totally agree with that statement lol. I felt the same way with the Touch HD, the Diamond2, the Hero(European GSM), the HD2, and the Desire when they came to Europe first. When those decives finally got to the States 6 months later (expect the Touch HD). They were out dated with something new that you guys got. Then the jealousy began again lol.
