The S740 Roms dont work though.

I couldn't get the Hard SPL to work on my phone. It's app-unlocked as well. I know I would definately donate nicely for working Hard SPL and 6.5 Rom. This is the best SmartPhone I've owned!

jackfrost7 reports that Hard SPL worked for him.. I am hesitant to try it without a working 6.5 ROM, my phone is the work phone, although I use it more like a personal phone, i did have to beg my boss to pay the full price for it and if I break it, i won't be able to replace it.
good thing i still have my old s710 and fuze to "play" with.

Ok, I got the Hard SPL to work finally. I think it was more of a Win7/x64 issue with my failed attempts. I flashed the 6.5 ROM. Worked with a signal but seemed to have some wierd hangs. Flashed the 6.1 tweaked today and that one seems to be running faster than stock...

Yes, it is working with the tweaked 6.1 ROM.

Finally got enough courage to flash my work s743, here is the update:
HardSPL developed for s740 by jockyw2001 does WORK!
Flashed [ROM][WM 6.5] "Official" v1.00 by frauhottelmann and I am not having any issues with it so far. Works nicely.

a few observations, after the flash and detection on network (ATT), I had no signal, by going to Settings, Phone, Band Select, had to change Band Type to GSM (1900). the old 6.1 ROM had a choice of auto, 6.5 does not.

GPS works, Bluetooth works.. so far all the features that I use all work!!!
