Settings -> Connectivity to pc -> Uncheck Ask Me. This should fix your problem, but it won't ask you about the connection type when you connect it to your pc. I thinks this is better, because defaultly you would mostly want to charge the phone and sync data rarely.
Siemens M55 -> Nokia 6630 -> iPhone -> HTC Desire

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but the phone should only ask what to do when it's plugged into a PC, where the current wont exceed 500mA and the D+ and D- wires are separated inside the USB.

Maybe there's something wrong with your wallcharger, or an internal softwareissue in your phone. Reboot the phone and see what happens..

I must say that I've never noticed it before, because generally when I charge my phone from the mains charger I've no intention of using it, but I can confirm that with the official charger and cable that with my Desire, I do not get asked about the connection type when plugging it into the mains.

Dave

Default Re: Charging problem....

Some Devices (I know inform Motorola Razor) need a host to charge. This devices refuse charging, if you just give.power to them. You must have a charger that simulate a host.
