Quick question

Hi All,

I live in China, and whilst the Evo 4G is available here, the seller said that my SIM card won't work in it as it's locked to the US carrier. Not much point in buying the phone if I can't use it, so I was wondering if there is an unlock method for it, or if I should just stick with my Nexus 1. Forgive me if it's an idiotic question, I don't know much about this stuff!

Well its really strange that EVO 4G is available in China already. Can you please confirm if it is original or not? may be post a picture.... And BTW some guys have rooted EVO 4G but they haven't released any details yet. Once the details are in, ill post a link...may be unlocking will be possible on a rooted EVO 4G

It is a CDMA network phone. There is no SIM card slot and you cannot use it on a GSM network.

ah, that clears things up then. It's a real phone, seen it myself in the packaging and everything. Didn't know anything about no-SIM phones, but it's interesting!

I'll let the dream go and stick with my Nexus 1, then....
