According to a friend of mine (who is now employed by Google [all be it not in a technical role]) end of next weeks sounds about right.

BTW if you haven't yet figured it out.. my statement is pure speculation based on unconfirmed news.
Next iPhone will be announced June 7th, then released either late June or early July. The 4.0 will be available soon after June 7th, the 3GS not being able to use all of its features, and the next iPhone will launch with it preinstalled. This is going to be how it works every year, methinks.

Exactly! Plus the rumor was just that Froyo would be ANNOUNCED at Google I/O! We knew that the official Froyo was supposed to include Flash in the build, no? We also know that Flash is supposed to be released in June. I never expected an official release of Froyo or Flash before June.

I cannot believe the degree to which Google has fumbled this Froyo release. They let us all think we might get it at I/O and look where we are now.....another week later...all anyone has gotten is a broken version.

I said it before and I'll say it again: Mickey Mouse time in Mountain View
Yes, but Google never confirmed FroYo would actually be a final release @ Google I/O, now did they? We as the users and also the press corps themselves look like idiots thinking we'd have a final version. Myself included for sure.

All they've done is announced the version upgrade and released a limited beta.

So those of us bitching about need to stop bitching about it.
Currently Using: Samsung Captivate Glide/Galaxy Glide (Stock ICS)

Past Phones:
HTC Desire Z/Vision (Andromadus Mimicry Mod - ICS/CM9 Based)
