Default Swiping between homepages

Am about to jump into Android (from a HD2 that is driving me up the wall!) and have spent the last week agonizing between the Galaxy S and Desire. I've looked at tons of vids of both and trawled the net and I think it boils down for me to the differences between Sense and Touchwiz.

The only thing that's putting me off Touchwiz is that there doesn't seem to be any way of quickly getting between homepages, other than swiping. On the Desire you pinch and get the overview. Have I missed something with the Galaxy S?

If the UI is the same of Samsung Wave (as they claim) then you should be able to directly jump to the desired home by selecting the related number on top of the screen (you know, those small circles with the number inside...).

I've seen a couple of videos about this for Wave...

I'm the same jumping from an HD2 to Android and was initially concerned of this myself but as mentioned by Jaffe76, providing we can select the page simply by tapping on the page number it then should not be a problem.
.........I don't always get your questions right.... but you'll certainly know I've tried.

P.S. Many thanks for the Thanks votes. Thanks received are converted into a charitable donation.

Default Swiping between homepages

Galaxy S can do this! You can change the homescreen by tapping on it's number!

Look for this vid. on youtube:

I hope this is not the only thing putting you off the phone! However, I can understand that you want to pay for something the suits you completely. Galaxy just seems like a better piece of hardware than the HTC. I don't like HTC very much anyway though (I have no idea why, please don't judge me!), so maybe I am biased.

Personally, I think touchwiz looks pretty awesome (although the older versions were disappointing). As people have already said, you can jump quickly to screens (it seems), and it may even be possible to disable it or replace it with another UI.

I installed Sense on my winmo Samsung phone (Omnia) because the older touchwiz was a bit rubbish, so I can understand preferring it!

Thanks for the opinions and info everyone, and especially for the YouTube link - went into a lot more detail! (shame it was in French tho!).

Think I'm gonna go for it and order the Galaxy S (I could wait for more reviews, but patience was never my strong suit!)

Same as both of you hehehe. But since we have until the week of June 7, I figure I would wait until middle next week and see if any other reviews come or if the price changes or if samsung decides to change something or add new phones, etc..
but definitely if nothing occurs I will be getting this phone .

I think Nico that even in the Applications menu you can jump by selecting the number on top.
