Froyo ON HTC Desire

Details Abt ROM:

-Android 2.2 Froyo
-Ported from paulobrien nexus one rom
-Kernel : Richardtrip v11 kernel -> with oc -> 1113600
-if u want 1.2 ghz edit setcpu.txt -> add ",1275200" excluding " "
-It is fast -> usable.
-setcpu.apk included

Working:
Edge,3g -> Data
Mic Working -> Calls
Wifi
GPS
Camera ->
steps given here

Partial WORKING:
Camera, Bluetooth

Not Working:
USB TETHER, WIFI HOTSPOT, A2SD

My Desire Spec:

HBOOT - 0.75.0000

RADIO - 4.06.00.02_2

STEPS FOR INSTALLATION:

1. Turn Off Device
2. Hold Volume Down Button + Powerbutton -> u wil reach Hboot (White Screen)
3. Use Volume Down To Move On Recovery Then Use Power Button To Select -> Now u see Black Screen With Red Triangle.
4. Connect Your Phone To Desktop/Laptop.
5. Both In Recovery Mode Using ->

For Windows users -> To Enter Recovery

Extract Above Given .zip to Desktop
For Xp user -> Run recovery-windows.bat
For Vista & Windows 7 -. Run recovery-windows.bat AS ADMINISTRATOR 

For Linus Users -> To Enter Recovery

Extract Above given .zip to home
Open terminal from extracted Folder Using Right Click
Now Type:
sudo ./recovery-linux.sh
Enter Su password

6. Now Navigate To Usb-Toogle And Press Trackball (Optical)
7. Paste Rom.zip in Fat32 Partition
8. Safely Unplug And Press tRackball To get Back to main Recovery Menu
9. Wipe All data / Cache / Dalvik /Ext / Battery / Rotation
10. Flash Rom

Navigate to Flash Zip from sdcard Press TrackBall
Select the Zip Using TrackBall 
Confirm Flashing Using TrackBall
Wait Till Rom Flashes
InCase of Error Report

11. Reboot Phone

TADA Ur Phone Will Boot New Flashed ROM!!!!

NOTE:

DONT PARTITION UR SDCARD -> only FAT32

Love the stuff you do mate. However i'll hold out as i kind of need usb tether. Does it work with apps like Easytether? Or not at all?

To be completely offtopic, what do you need to tether Desire? So far everything I tried doesn't work without tampering with settings on computer and phone....

ahmgsk - good job and hope to have fully working 2.2 rom soon!
is it possible to have polish langaue within the rom? it was within the cm506 rom. also i am getting strange issues with exchange security on 2.2 - it was working on eighter n1 or cm506 desire rom, now its a problem that "phone has no security policy"

AhmgskMod, why would we flash you ROM curently.
Richard's ROM has A2SD,and your dont. And as i can see the rest is the same as yours. Did you fix, or improve something that hes missing in his ROM?

Anways thanks for your efforts, and cant wait for Camera fix.

Thanks for this. Could you please write a simple how to for getting your modded recovery onto the device? Is it just a small simple flash or do I have to wipe the device first to flash your recovery?

I'm curently on richard's rom, is there a lot of difference under the hood? My understanding is that both are WIP and more or less the same.

I use EasyTether app. One time run program on pc and now when i plug my phone into my pc i just leave it in Charge only but it auto connects to the pc and i can browse using mobile connection.
