Automatic Brightness not persistent

Does anyone else's phone occasionally revert to full brightness (non-auto full bright). Ideas on why? or how to fix it?

Fresh 2.1.1 is installed but this also happened on previous DC roms.

I have experienced this issue also, but I have not been able to determine the cause. It doesn't seem to be associated with any particular activity, it seems to happen at random.

I'm sure that's not the case though, there must be something that causes it to happen. Perhaps after a reboot?

Happens to me too with the 2.1 ROM. Never recall it happening with 1.5. It seems to revert some time after a reboot.

Hope they release a fix soon!

Had this JUST happen to me. Seemed to happen after a reboot.

According to this, it reverts to full brightness sometimes after using the camera. A bit annoying because a lot of time I won't realize it but it will still drain my battery..
