Default htc apps that drain battery

So I've noticed on the evo that lots of apps like to run in the background and some of them keep a constant network connection causing horrible battery drain. anyone else notice this? no im not on 4g because its not available in los angeles yet. but i do know that the phones idle time sucks. So far I noticed the htc widget downloader likes to keep running

im just trying to figure out whats causing it to keep a constant network connection...when i go into spare parts it shows network usage at 100% for some app called "0" just seeing if anyone else has noticed this. there was a question you probably missed.

I don't have the phone yet. But it might be a processes that is watching, talking to, or protecting ring 0 which is the highest level of the security state in processor and operating system. See:

according to the app spare parts there is a process called "0" that takes up all of the network usage but I can not figure out where it is or what it is, maybe this is it but why would it take network usage? i mean i constantly see my 3g signal working non-stop
