Default unable to flash no more

Hi,

I have a HTC HD, and here is my story :P

I used to have duttys 6.5 rom, with SPL 1.54. I wanted to try the NRG rom, Energy.BLACKSTONE.23569.Sense2.5.Cookie.May.28 version, which is a SPL 1.56 rom.

I had no luck upgrading, because of the SPL version, so I managed to apply the hard spl 1.56 by oilnex. This enabled me to upgrade to the NRG rom, however, the boot up 'smart mobility' splash screen went horrible 8 bit colour/green.

The fix to this according to the forums, was to flash back to a stock rom, which I did. So currently I am running a WM6.1 HTC stock rom.

My current bootloader screen says
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.15.000
MircoP-BlackStone (LED) v6

I was hoping that flashing it to a stock rom would get rid of the green screen, but no luck.

I was hoping to flash it back to either the Dutty, or the NRG rom, but now whenever I get into the bootload screen and try to upload a new rom, it just sits at 0% and nothing ever happens.

It wouldn't be so bad, but the stock rom runs like a dog, and keeps crashing. It also doesnt recognise my sim, and I am feel liking 'going postal'.

Current stock details are
RUU_BlackStone_HTC_Europe_1.56.401.0_Radio_52.62.2 5.34_1.13.25.24_Ship
Windows Mobile 6.1
CE OS 5.2.20769 (Build 20769.1.4.5)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flashing the stock rom you had block the spl, so you need to rea-pply again the 1.56 hardspl by olinex, then flash your desire rom!

Default Dummies Guide

Eventually managed to get the manual sspl touch hd from the SD card to work, which kicked it into the bootloader, allowing me to hardspl with olinex 1.56.

Once that was done, the bootloader came up with the 1.56 spl, which then allowed me to flash the rom to the NRG cookie rom.

It may be that I dislike the NRG rom, and may want to go back to the dutty rom, but it seems as if all the mirrors for that rom have gone down, cause I cant find it anywhere. I think I will prolly need to downgrade my spl as well.

So thanks for the advice.

Also my thanks to the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377 post by Digital Outcast. That also really helped. Your a life saver dude.

Default Contract Internet connection constantly on

Ok, this NGR Rom seems to be running well on my blackstone, however It seems that the contract internet connection is constantly coming on, and I am always getting weather updates.

Even though I have tried to turn all weather associated links via CHTEditor v1.7.1.2 and turning off all Location service settings, nothing seems to be working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

DONATE TO ME
ok, if you have issues concerning flashing your queries should be posted here. No need for another thread

if you have issues concerning a certain rom, you should post your queries in that rom thread

As for you last query, the reason your device keeps updating immediately is due to your phone having 'download data automatically' turned on. Go to weather tab > settings and turn this off. You may need to do the same for stock, emails, quickgps etc etc

Alternatively use apps like NoData or Data Controller (already included in your rom) and turn off 'Orange Internet' so device cannot update. Personnally I always use wifi anyway, but if you ever need to use GPRS then just turn it on again

Any other queries, please post in relevant thread
