Default R2/Android Stencil Splashes

ˇNB! These are boot splashes, not boot animations. ˇNB!

Because I had nothing better to do at 4 AM on a Friday night am awesome, I present:

droid-paint.rgb565

android-paint.rgb565

Flash like always:
  1. Unzip
  2. Reboot phone into fastboot mode (Eris: power off, then press and hold green and red keys simultaneously. I believe most others use the camera key in place of the green one).
  3. Code:
    fastboot flash splash1 /path/to/droid-paint.rgb565
  4. Code:
    fastboot reboot
  5. Enjoy.

Update: Added Android logo version

I dont know if you have enough free time on a saturday night are awesome enough to make a version of that with google's android instead of R2...

I am really busy working on some freelance stuff so I'm out of commision of personal projects for the next few weeks or i would do it myself.

Download fastboot from that page, unzip, then open Terminal and chmod +x fastboot-mac, sudo mv fastboot-mac /usr/local/bin/fastboot, then follow the instructions from post #1.

Sir, you are the best. I have been wanting to ditch those annoying skateboard droids for awhile now. I tried doing it before but I can't ever change the image to the rgb565. Your bootscreens are pretty sweet too.

Both of those apps will do it in windows. The comments in the 2nd link explain how to do it in Linux or OS X.
