G1 verge of death...
Hello, I got my G1 used and turns out there was soda damage but the phone never broke. It still booted etc.
I am running current radio, death SPL and AMON's recovery image
Here is my problem
Went to bed with the phone working perfectly running CSROM 2.1 and woke up to find that when I use my keyboard it has the same function as the power button and so does the Call and home. They turn off the screen or hang up the phone. The home button still doubles as home so I can access recovery but when I go to wipe it and I press home it aborts and the words flicker on and off and I have to keep pressing home until I could get it so the words show back up again (they flash). With the phone off if I press home the UI lights up (even keyboard)
I tried using DroidExplorer (Screencast) to send the home button signal but figures it doesn't send the command.
Here's what I've tried
Replacing the front UI (trackball home, etc) with a spare part I had but it still messes up.
I cleaned the motherboard with air duster then I used rubbing alcohol to finish getting the grime off it. (Thats how I discovered soda damage).
Once in a blue moon the home buttons and etc would return to their normal function. But only for a few seconds then return.
How can I wipe using Windows and possibly change the rom since CSRom bootloops. How could I possibly fix my mainboard so it stops messing up?
Please get off your high horse
