Default Unicode support for... playlists? [M3U8]

Just got my HTC Evo few days ago, and LOVE it pretty much got it running as I want, except few things...

I use M3U8 playlist format (same as m3u, but unicode) to store my music favs. Currently I use doubleTwist audio player. It does support m3u, but not m3u8. I play a lot of music which filenames and tags use russian/greek/japanese/latin/etc characters so M3U8 supports is a very important feature for me.

Are there any music players for Android that support M3U8 playlists, or any other playlist that stores paths & filenames in unicode?

Thanks!

Seems that, as usuall, I'll just end up figuring that out myself, after pulling allnighters for a week or two... lol

Or are there fellow android owners that already have a solution figured out?

PS: stayed up till 7am last night, but finally got avi/mkv's with divx/xvid/h264 videos to play on my evo... and with quite a good performance too

I'm SUPER interested in playing m3u8 streams. What did you end up doing to play the streams?

I ended up saving my playlists as M3U8 and simply renaming them to M3U. Even though technically M3Us can be only ASCII, android still reads them even if they are UTF8. Also, if for any reason android decides to "fix" playlists to non unicode and stripping out lines that contain unicode characters while doing so, then I just set file permissions on all playlists to read-only.
