Default Toast's Recovery with Unrevoked Root?

So I am able to "ADB recovery reboot" using Unrevoked's, so from this point would I be able to install the custom recovery and flash customer ROM's and what not. I am afraid to test it as I do not want to rish bricking my phone.
TIA

Root with Toast's method if you want custom ROMs.

You have the same percentage of bricking the phone as did Toast when he tried his method for the first time.

No pain no gain. :P

Does this root brick anything? Can I load custom files like the mod that allow you to use Verizon and Sprint 3g?

No one seems to be able to answer this question, I asked it earlier and got nothing. I don't have mine yet so I can't try it, or I would. Worst case, you've got time to return it.

we don't have write access to the recovery partition due to the NAND protection. since we dont have write access to the recovery partition due to the NAND protection, we have no way of permanently loading a custom recovery.
toast's method only loads a temporary custom recovery as a patch until we are able to bypass the NAND protection or disable it for the recovery partition.
feel free to try! all the experimenting will hopefully get us closer to unlocking the NAND protection on the recovery partition!
