Default Here we go, dumb root question.

Ok, so in the dev section, the how to root part, is that way of rooting still possible after the OTA update? Probably a dumb question, but I would love to root and get rid of the Sprint stuff alrdy... lol

Does the Toast root method allow system modification in Android? or only adb? I know Revoked can only be done via- adb? (as far as removing Sprint junk?)

toast's root allows the use of adb in recovery, and then you have to use the pushed recovery everytime. i don't believe that the unrevoked root let's you do anything in recovery at all.

neither allows writes to /system while in android. toast's allows access to /system while using recovery, as long as you mount /system as writeable first. then you can remove whatever applications you wish
If you need help, try IRC #Cyanogenmod in freenode.net
Someone may be able to help you there. I will try, if I'm on.
