one thing left, add ability to browse sdcard so i won't have to constantly move update zip's from download directory to sdcard root. once that is done, this recovery will be flawless

been using your recovery exclusively since rooting the phone, and the added ability to return menus without having to break my fingers trying to simultaneously press vol +/- with one hand has sealed the deal. my phone will not run any other recovery besides this one, forever and ever

EDIT: no i didnt read the whole thread, i apologize if there was a mention for a reason of not including the sdcard navigation feature.

I'm sticking with 1.7.1 because I think the idea of removing the signature check is asinine! I agree that you may want to (from time to time) disable sig check because a dev (or should I say a script kiddie) doesn't know how utterly simple it is to sign an update.zip... but I like having the protection on my phone that I'm not going to accidentally flash an unsigned update that could change my phone's setup in ways I don't want. While I do realize that it's unlikely that a file will end up in the root of my SD card without me intentionally putting it there... and I do realize that the recovery forces you to confirm the option to flash an update.zip (after you've navigated to and clicked on the zip)... who among us isn't guilty of getting click happy?

I can't speak for all update managers, but I know the one for Fresh will let you select the destination for your download directory... you could just change it to the root of the SD

I completely agree with you, I was just tired of the endless stream of IM's and tweets telling me that my recovery couldn't flash certain roms etc...

Well since signing zips is utterly simple you have nothing to worry about now do you? I agree though it would be much better if all the devs etc would do it

This is the best update yet so glad I dont have to play the two finger game trying to get back thru menus' thank you for the update

Flash the file below.

*BE PREPARED, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BOOTLOOP INTO THE BOOTLOADER AFTER FLASHING*

To get out of it, I reflashed a custom rom and I was good to go after.
