Default Found some interesting stuff on my X10 in /etc

I was messing around with adb shell and found an iso in /etc. At first glance it appeared to be the pc companion but looking further I found that it's very old. Latest timestamps are in november 2009 and I've seen some references to the version being an Alpha.

Might be worth looking into?

Was it dop.ISO? If so I think all x10s have it.

Yeah, it looks that way. But what caught my eye was all the references to aalpha, various codenames mixed with the early filestamps. Looked like an old leftover.

The iso image is mounted on /cdrom. you can check it from the phone itself. I think they wanted to make it mount on the pc with the microsd on mass storage mode to install pc companion, but ended up there doing nothing and consuming flash space..

That's sort of what I was thinking. Seeing as it is a very old version perhaps it's worth looking deeper? Since they "forgot" to remove an early build of that perhaps there's a reason they didn't go that route? It could also be my mind playing tricks on me after going over the filesystem on the phone a few times.
