Default cyanogenmod port for liquid?

Hi,

Just wondering if there exists a cyanogenmod port for the Liquid and if not why?

There are probably a lot of device specific tweaks for the G1/N1/Droid, but there are also a lot of general improvements that should work on any phone. The Liquid and N1 use the same hardware for the most part I think, so you would only have to worry about the radio maybe.

How hard would it be to port cyanogenmod to the Liquid? What would happen if you just tried to install it on the Liquid without modification?

I came from the G1 and miss it. Especially the Contacts/Phone app. (I think it's made by this guy http://github.com/Wysie ... and I could probably figure out how to replace it if I really tried )

I'm using the stock Liquid E rom right now, and it takes 3-5 seconds for the phone to come out of sleep. That's probably the worst of it though.

Thanks for reading,
Rickster

Blame Acer. Once they release the Liquid E kernal/libs/stuff, I am sure the developers of this great community will be on it (alan090 made CM ports for Dream/Magic. Once Acer releases that kernel, I am excited to see what him/phh/malez/vache/piter/xian/everybody does with it).

Maybe we should send letters or a petition to Acer to ask them to release it.

Donut sources are enough if someone wants to port cyanogenmod.
