Changing the Sprint banner?

Is there anyway to modify the "Sprint" on the lockscreen or in the notification area? I know the Droid can change theirs by editing eri.xml in a hex editor but I don't see any option for it.

Ideas?

Thanks, I'll give it a go.

Edit: The strings.xml referenced in the tutorial must be different because all mine has is days of the week and months of the year.
