update:
I changed the original beeps with Nextels PTT chirp.
removed the doorbell also.

in settings under audio,
button press: checked on
button release: checked off

Added the inverted audio.. let me know if that works for you guys..
since i cant remember how it normally sounds. :)

Does this actually work with nextels ptt system? or does this require both parties to have this app installed to work?

This works with cell's original number and nextel uses PTT codes.. It's a nice lil mode, good job

has anyone got this installed? tried the usual w/AndExplorer, tried adb push /system/app, and tried adb install. none has worked. any help is appreciated. hate that DING DONG!!!!!!!! thanks....

Yep, had to uninstall then install this apk. Beeps like Nextel!

Let me clarify, I had the market TiKL installed. I installed this apk., with ASTRO. I had to uninstall (using Astro), then reinstall (using Astro) to get it to work properly.

So, if I'm understanding correctly, I can "hit" any Nextel phone on PTT(direct connect)with this app even if that phone isn't an Android phone? And if that IS the case, will it work if all I have is the Nextel phones DC #?

6/23 8:39am - Never mind. I answered my own question I have a Nextel phone for work and I tried TiKL'ing it from my EVO and got a message saying that TiKL was not installed, but I could SMS an invite for them to download it.

Oh well, the fam has three Android based phones so we'll just use it on those.
