Changelog:
30.07 -- OTA update 1.4.3
-- updated ADW Launcher

29.07 -- OTA update 1.4.2
-- Raging Thunder 2 now works
-- edited a bit the lights driver

27.07 -- Version 1.4
-- complete rebuild of system and all kernels
-- usb tethering via Settings
-- re-worked jit stuff
-- and a lot of tweaks/optimizations
-- Droidwall working, Ndrive working (although you'll see only squares instead of characters if your locale is unsupported in the app)
-- and not working Raging Thunder 2 (but I really don't have the willingness to 'fix' it)

23.07 -- Version 1.3.6
-- notification leds working
-- trackball stuff in settings
-- you now have the option to enable/disable touch UI during calls
-- updated updater

22.07 -- Version 1.3
-- new camera with new options, icon and without timestamp
-- multitouch support
-- reverted into flashing rom and google apps separately. The installer will try to backup your google apps if you flash that on top of CMH 1.3+
-- added fully working Facebook sync
-- added some new stuff in settings
-- recompiled all kernels from the official source

05.07 -- Version 1.2
-- updated libraries, including libgps that caused unsatisfactory GPS performance
-- OTA updater
-- Cyanogen-ish bootanimation, thanks to iiro
-- 264/576 MHz kernel by default

29.06. -- Minor update
The update fixes:

-- error -17 on installing some apps that require camera
-- the somewhat sluggish notification bar

28.06 -- New version
The new version includes:

-- auto-brightness
-- voice search fixed
-- builtin google apps
-- compcache enabled by default

23.06. -- Initial version

Features:
All led notifications
Cyanogenmod 5.0.8 final
Auto-brightness
Jogball lights
A2DP
JIT
Compcache
Apps2SD
BFS enabled kernel
Outstanding 3D
360 degree rotation
5 mp camera
Live Wallpapers from Market work nice
Compcache on by default

Howtos:

Facebook:
Install from market.

Enable jit:
type in terminal as root
Code:
jit-on
and follow the instructions.
I highly recommend saying dalvik-cache is located in sd if you have a class 6 card.

Compcache:
Disable it in Settings --> Spare Parts --> Compcache, but I strongly discourage doing so

Apps2SD:
Enable in Settings --> Applications --> Apps2SD

Suggestions:
You do not need to install any cpu frequency manager, except if you want to cap the frequency at max to see how much Linpack scores :P
Install LauncherPro -- it is very fast and has a nice 3D feature, which of course, works smoothly with this rom.

Bug reporting:
If you consider something a bug, please give some substantial info: mod version, kernel, logcat output and what you did to get to the situation.

Credits:
Of course, mainly to Cyanogen for his great work
and all other developers here at XDA

Themes
This one works superbly with CMH

Have fun!

Lovely.

I like it when the ROM is plain. Without those 'extra' apps.

Official changelog:

Strip off all kernel and device specific features and that's it . Note that a lot of hardware in the Hero is identical to Dream/Sapphire and these improvements do work.
