Default ios4

Any chance that someone here could port ios4 to the samsung galaxy s, isnt the hardware between the iphone4 and galaxy s pretty similar? (Well at least the important bit, the cpu/gpu). Just for laughs, android is fine.

Well, no.

iOS isn't open source, so it'd be a bitch and a half to do, but you are right were the attempt to be made it would be easier based on the hardware similarities.

If someone did manage it, apple would sure as hell be all over anyone trying to distribute the rom.

I know it's not my business but why would you want to contaminate this Android beauty with the Ios? It's like buying a Ferrari and installing a Lamborghini engine in it.

If you want the Lamborghini, just buy that instead.

Yea, just like k2snowboards88 said, even if it was to be done, apple would be all over the place with an army of lawyers and class action lawsuits, bunch of f......
If i remember correctly some XDA guy got in trouble because of something he made that "resembled" an apple software.

While lawsuits sound scary, I still don't think that is the right reason not to do it. Do you really Ios is better than Android?

i am also using android (galaxy s) but after giving a try the new iOS 4 i think the iOS has the edge its a much more smooth, easy and eye candy operating system.

Yeah, I totally agree with you savvase.

The UI experience of the Android phones is pretty choppy compared to the Iphones Ios. If I recall correctly, it is because Android is based on a higher level programing, Java, while Ios is based on lower lever programming.

If you want Android to get the Ios smoothness, visit and vote here http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=6914

I think if you want ios, that you should get an iphone. The iphone 4g once the bugs are ironed out is a very very good piece of hardware. I want an android phone because I don't want ios.
