Why do you think rooting did not work? What method did you use?

If you have a different kernel and your rom is showing as using test keys then as far as I know, you are rooted.

What are these things you say you reied to get to the current state?

I treid to root it with version of R6 with same steps . I get same errors but it gave me at least close results.
Are you sure it's rooted if i have test on it ?

How can i be sure if my phone rooted ?

What OS are you running on your PC? If it's win7 64bit then that might be the problem... (not sure if this still is true, it was some time ago)

Unless you had a desire shipped with a rom using test keys, then you have rooted. The test keys rom is the one that you get installed during step1 of the rooting process.

Have you got an icon that says superuser permissions, or have you tried to install titanium backup and run it? If titanium works then you are rooted.

You still haven't said what errors you are getting...
