Why does it say my SD card is ready to be removed????!
I have yet to update the rootfs, going to in a moment but probably wont be able to test it as my battery is now down to 20% from 50% after initial run and reboot. My initial test with the update, turned out to be a fluke. There was some sort of weird message that kept scrolling, something about "...acpu can't be unloaded" or something to that matter. Ran the setup wizard loop and couldn't get out of it. So I figured it was time to format the ole SD card and retried without the updated rootfs and ran into the same loop but this time I kept pressing the power key(home) and call end key and eventually it took me to my "new and improved" home screen! (yay!) Also, found out I have no sound (couldn't detect my SD card, I fear it had something to do with the SD card ready to be removed message). All in all, a successful "test run" but what one would expect out of an "Alpha" phase project!

ok inital test. played with it quite a bit. battery lasted 4 hours. sleep seems to be working ok for me. i did have some times where it would not deep sleep but after closing some programs, it went into deepsleep. took about 2 minutes after putting it to sleep. after replacing the battery, the home screens lost all my widgets. for the most part everything works that worked on 2.1 with the exception of the obvious. alot of new features. phone ran hotter than 2.1 when in use but when in deepsleep it seemed to cool off quite a bit.

if i can think of anything else i will add to this post.

sdcard cannot be mount for the time being they have to change some settings to make the sdcard work, thats y android says its unmounted

I let the phone sleep for a few hours. When it woke up, no internet.

Filemanager finds sd-card while settings says not mounted

Just installed the alpha 2.2 over my 0621 build.
It does seem snappier than Eclair to me

3g works, I turned gps on in settings-location, and with the power widget but GPS does not. Any app (maps,browser with Google search @location) using GPS tries to load but exits to home screen.

I copied flash10.1.apk to my sd card in winmo. Browsed to it in my Android file manager (name escapes me), and installed it without a problem. Tried to use Fancast.com thru Opera Mini but it would not stream video, I may have setup issues.

I will check into more things soon.

Feedback after the first boot:
*I did a clean boot (only keeping the calibration file)

- ran on first boot (no boot loops)
- very slow initial setup
- after manually adding the APN 3G worked for a few seconds then crapped out (possibly due to the browser opening which tried to use gps?)
- this is new to me but maybe i was just retarted with earlier versions but screen rotation works both at 90 degrees AND 270 but not 180 (eg upside down)
- ditto on the camera opening but only having a flying block
- rebooted on first try (no freezing)

now to see what happens next thanks again guys

EDIT: small request? are you able to give haret the Android icon that the xdandroid installer made by thebrilliantmistake has? its just a small thing but it'd look nicer in winmo
