Default Transition Animations

What happened to them?
My g1 had some sick animations at one point, zoomed into apps when i opened them, and zoomed out when i closed.

Now that I got an evo 4g I can't seem to reproduce those effects.
It's not a "huge" deal, but having them certainly adds to the eyecandy factor.

I think i did it with an apk called dev tools..
I can't seem to find it, and spare parts only lets me changing the speed of windows animations and sideways shift animations.

Thanks!

From what Ive read, all of the really neat effects have been dropped from the OS as of 2.01 onwards.

There is an app you can install called Spare Parts, which if you have 1.6 or below will allow you to turn on the animation effects of the screen rotate etc but it also points out that they just wont work in anything 1.6+

Atleast thats what I think, im no dev, just one man annoyed at the lack of eyecandy ;(

Did you try Home > Menu > Settings > Display > Animation? Make sure that you have "All animations" checked. That will at least get you started.

I have the "All animations" checked.
It's not that I don't have animations.
The window animation is set to slow in spare parts, which is step 1.
Step 2 is Transition animations, which only shows when going from one part of an app to another is also set to slow.

Step 3 and what I'm trying to accomplish here is the "zooming" animation when you open an app.
I believe the Droid has this, and I really miss it from my G1.
Why is it not here, and how do i get it back?

Almost forgot the auto-rotate animation.. That was cool as well..
Gingerbread or Android 3.0 will focus on eyecandy, supposedly, but until then at least some basic animations would be cool.

P.S. I'm not rooted, yet.

Turns out with launcherpro I get the desired animations. Is this part of the launcher? Or is sense blocking the OS level animations

The zoom animations unfortunately are not present in sense ui - thats why you see them when you use launcher pro.

DONATE TO ME
I know what you're talking about. I got an HTC Legend, which has Sense UI but no Live wallpaper, then I flashed a patch file to get Live Wallpaper works on my Legend...and tada..I got "zooming in/out" effect also. Just dont know why And I'm not using any other launcher but Sense.

I think you can pm that guy to get what you want.
