Default Black notification bars for Milestone

Hi all,
I'm looking for different notification bars to install on my Milestone,anybody has some information and guide for doig it?

i belive from what i read usally to change that is to be rooted and install a custom rom OR change it. Anyone want to chim in on this a/s

you need to be rooted t apply it no?
and the theme region crap also makes it more difficult any other solutions to non rooted ppl !

The one and only way to change your notification bar is root. The notification bar is part of the framework-res.apk in the system. To modify this file in anyway you need root. Sorry your out of luck

Check out G.O.T's Openrecovery......it will allow you to root if you haven't already and has a nice theme included with a black notification bar!

Am using it right now and looks good...although I would suggest not installing the fonts as they are slightly messed up on the new update.

You can try to remove got theme, in OpenRecovery folder delete "fonts" and retry applying theme. It should go

I wasn't referring to the GOT Theme (I've tried it and it works, even if I don't like it that much) but to the SenseUI/Black notification bar linked by iamdarren on droidforums.net, it confuses some texts on the Shols_2.38. For example when you want to shut down the phone, it shows "airplane mode" instead of "shut down phone" and other things like that.

Using Telus build 3.11.
Anyone th files?
