Android 3 for Droid?

I have seen that apparently Google has announced Android 3, do you guys think it's likely that it will be out on the Droid?

If you are asking if Motorola will produce an update for non-rooted phones, I'd doubt it. Should be released well after the commercial end of life for the phone.

Will it be ported to the device for those with the means to install on their own? I have a hard time envisioning why not, unless doing so would be akin to strapping an anvil to a turtle...
