Default [GUIDE] Root your SonyEricsson Xperia X10i

Now that I've made a new thread for rooting the X10i-model, anyone is free & welcome to add thorough instructions here on how to do so.

I'm a little tired of poorly written guides in the other thread that gives you nothing but confusion.

Please don't close this thread as I believe other people get confused TO about how to root an X10i.

Like THIS for instance:

1. Download the rar-file (link here).
2. Unzip/pack it.
3. Enable Debugging in Settings ->..............
4. Shutdown your SonyEricsson X10i.
5. Start StepX.bat
6. ...................................
7. ....................................
8. Done! Your phone is now rooted with version XXXXXXX

Why are you differing between x10i and x10a? Its the same. There is a much simpler way to root any FW.

1) Download and install flashtool
2) Plug in phone and press root
3) Done, reboot and there you go

Best way easiest
Just look through the development section and you'll find the flashtool thread not that hard

It's actually in the Q&A section where this thread should also be. Anyway here's the link:
