Umm, messed up during rooting - need advice to push file

I was following the R6 method found here: http://android.modaco.com/content/ht...-1-21-support/

I missed out a step accidentally. I didn't copy the update.zip to my sdcard before going ahead with the step1-windows.bat part.

I've now stopped and my phone is at the fastboot screen.

Can someone tell me how to push the update.zip to my sdcard now, before I move on to the next step?

I literally don't know any commands at all, so I would need to be told exactly what to type in the cmd prompt window.
I am doing this on XP machine. ADB is installed.

The update.zip is located on my computer at:
C:\r6-desire-root-alt\update.zip

Please tell me I haven't cocked up my phone!!

Dont worry, you are only at step 1. While the fastboot screen is shown, press the vol down key and select reboot, press the power button to execute. When it reboots, select the Disk Drive sync mode and transfer the update.zip from your C: to the root of your sd card and start the process again from step 1.
