Default Flashing Sim Locked Australian Samsung Galaxy S

Hi Guys,

What would be the consequences of flashing JG1 firmware on an Australian bought (From Optus / Singtel) Samsung Galaxy S.

Is it possible to do this and if not is it possible to do this with other firmwares as i wish to root this device and load custom roms.

Thanks,

Draco

Should be fine... I'm got mine on optus too and flashed JFB, worked fine.

Only thing is, I think I'm actually getting more stalls and worse battery life with this firmware. However it's hard to tell if an app/apps are causing it or whether it's the firmware.

I did also flash my optus galaxy .
I used the JFF firmware.

I didnt get any problem during the flash.

But it doesn't mean that it solves the tremendous issues of my phone ....
Samsung Galaxy S 2 Rom : CheckRom RevoHD V6
Asus Transformer Prime : Sotck rom
Archos 101 G9 250Go : Stock 4.0.5

I think the current one is fine for the present time i might wait until i see some more reviews on the new firmware before I bother to change anything. I also found out the handsets on contract are all unlocked so no issues there.

Cheers,

Draco
