meh, don't have the patience right now for it
From a merely theoretical standpoint, one should just be able to toss the kernel into the XDAndroid build, set the startup.txt to the boot parameters for the hd2, and boot that, but it fails complaining of a missing root at block 0.0 or something like that.
I don't know enough haret or basic linux booting to know where to go from there
Best reference thread ever: Learn to compile your own AOSP build (for sapphire, but applies to dream too)

Could the boot loader be a reason? I am using HSPL 2.08 and have no success....
Isn't it the microSD card ? Few post before it was THE probleme

I just downloaded it, from the links in the 2nd post, and it works for me. I didn't edit the play.txt and just put an avi into the root directory of the sd card. It played smoothly and play back speed was at greater than 100% speed.

Stock TMobile US HD2 using stock 16GB SD card. 720x384 avi.

Hello dcordes, i totally support this project.

Since v0.2b i cannot boot, i receive kernel panic. The first 720p played all right but 0.3 and 0.2 no.

Exiting... (End of file)
Kernel Panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

With or without the USB plugged.
Apple iPhone 2G -> HTC HD2 -> HTC One X
