Really? I thought the official Froyo on July 5th was the biggest false statement I've ever read
Anyway, since I've had both...
The Nova panel has a purple tint to it, which is barely noticeable unless you get an Epson screen to compare it with. The Nova does not get as bright as the Epson. The Nova brightness fades while the Epson brightness changes instantly. The FPS fix for Nova panels does not cause screen tearing and is adjustable by user. The Epson panel takes longer to power on and off when the device is booting and shutting down than the Nova does. The Nova comes on instantly to the HTC screen, the Epson turns backlit black for a second and then the HTC screen appears. It also does the same thing when powering off.
The Epson is INSANELY bright at maximum settings. It is so bright it hurts my eyes. It is LITERALLY like sunlight and I can see the screen better in sunlight than I could with the Nova.
Color reproduction is perfect on the Epson which can be a pro or a con. Some people prefer vivid, non-realistic color saturation which the Nova provides.
Also, and I can't say this isn't related to something else, I am getting better battery life (about 30% or so) with the Epson than I did with my Nova but this is a 0003 and my Nova was a 0002.
