Hi All,

I appreciate all hard work developers are putting on X10 but as a newbie just has this question.

Just want to know why developers still can;t get Android 2.1 on X10?

Is it that it's difficult to develop compared to N1 or HTC desire?

Because on N1 or Desire there's so much developmenent going at the moment and on X10 it's not that much.

Thank you.

Because Desire is fully rooted and custom bootloader can be flashed. Not on XPERIA at the moment.

Is there any chance we can see 2.1 soon on Xperia X10?

As I've got Nexus one but X10 looks so sexy and I want to buy it but Android 1.6 is only drawback at the moment.

If you want a Nexus, buy a nexus,
If you want a X10, buy a X10, keeping in mind that the 2.1 official update will come out somewhere beetween now and september and that an inoficial Update might happen or also not

Have a look at the end of the rooting and custom rom development thread.

SE has pretty much overpatched the drawbacks with 1.6 compared to 2.1 the only real change when X10 gets 2.1 will be speed and some 2.1 dependant apps.

Sent from my X10i using XDA App
