[MOD] ★★★ Super Circle Battery with % ★★★ Version A-P & Z (Custom) ★★★
Hi all !
I started to make this mod on the DjDroid ROM on my phone ( HERE ) and I think I should release it for everyone who use different ROM.
The concept of the circle battery is not new, the standard circle battery was available a few weeks ago and I will thanks to the "author" of this concept Maybe some of you will invent a triangle or a square battery mod ;p )
Anyway, I will release different future version of this mod (color change and other things maybe).
I redrew the circle which is divided into 20 segments which one of them represents 5% of battery for version A and B only
Later, I made a plain circle battery for some version.
Other versions are created by other users and I want to congratulate and to thank them for making some new versions
For the version I made, I use the DroidSans font, size 12, to make all the numbers.
I don't take the credit for the "plug symbol" when the battery is charging.

For the other Phones
The mod can work on all android phone and you can try the online tool (Post #2)
If the tool doesn't work for you, you have to decompile (not unzipping) the framework-res.apk, download the source files (Post #2), unzip, copy the files in your decompiled framework-res.apk and recompile.
I just want to be clear for all people who don't have the Desire that I am not going to make hundred other zip files for all the other phones because it need a lot of work.
Also, I don't want to waste my time to go on every subforum of each phone in order to make and to update a thread like the one here.
For decompiling and recompiling the framework-res.apk, you should download one of the excellent tools and easy to use:
Issue on *some* customized themes
I remind you that sometime the online tool and the apk tools fail to decompile the ".9.png" icons files on a customized theme.
For your information, editing the ".9.png" icons files is not the same as editing the standard ".png" icons files and it need special things and manipulation to make them.
So, blame to theme creators who didn't correctly create or modify the ".9.png" icons files.
The only way to solve that is to remake these files by respecting the rules of editing the ".9.png" icons files.
The Mod should be flashed after rebooting your phone with a (or a new ) ROM already installed.
The Mod works only on de-odexed framework (no framework.odex in your phone).
The Mod can not work on some customized theme because of the bad editing of the ".9.png" made by the theme creators.
Look at the end of the 1st post (Section "Issue for *some* customized themes") for more details.
I recommend you to make a Nandroid Backup.
Get your framework-res.apk file (or use one from a list in the kitchen): If you don't know how to do that,

At the end, download your framework with the version you have choosen.
Flash it to your phone.
WARNING ! : If you get a SHTF version, it means the online tools didn't decompile correctly the framework-res.apk because of the bad editing of the ".9.png" icons files in some customized themes. However, the zip file sometimes works but not always ! Use it at your own risk !

I have noticed a couple of missing icons though from the zip you posted in my thread and also the charging one with the picture of the htc desire in it had some white round it which I photoshopped out.

I think yes, but you will probably lose the blackbar and get the default bar of the Defrost ROM. You can test and report if it works or not. You can make a backup of your phone if you want.
You're right, i got the default whit bar back. Not a big problem, only i can't see anything in my bar because it has white letters.
