Stupid Q - Fully Charged?

JUST got my phone. I want to fully charge before playing.

Okay, so apparently you have to press POWER to see the status of the charge. Really wish there were lights for notifications. O well.

This phone is amazing by the way. Not sure if its the Processor or what, but it was pulling 2.1 Mb/s in the store.. my G1 pulled .9 Mb/s right at the same spot.

Personally every phone I've ever had I just plugged it in and charged it and used it. I never did any of that charging and discharing nonsense.

CC just told me to plug it in and wait for it to be fully charged before using it. I'll plug it in and play with it while its charging for the first time. I've always done it and I've never had an issue with of my phones.

with the phone off you can view charging status by pushing volume up or down

That doesnt seem to work for me. Is the phone completely off or is just the screen off?

I at least do one full discharge and recharge before taking it out. The battery had about 80% left so I just played Avatar with full brightness and sound.
