Default Hope for the DX?

I'vebeen trying keep up but i'm just a user not a dev, sounds promising though.

He backtracked on that post in his Twitter: "I applogise for any confusion about the efuse crap, i got caught up in it and didnt really do any homework! bad birdman bad! #fail"

More tweets, if you're interested: http://twitter.com/mrweeeedbirdman

That said, as a new Droid X owner, I wish that the Android dev community would be a bit more receptive to the Droid X. There are people -- plenty of them -- out there who want root on their Droid X. Besides, what better way to show up Motorola than to hack their unhackable phone? Getting mad at Motorola is great and all, but it doesn't do much in the long run.

glad to hear it b16a2smith

I suggest you guys set up an irc room and even a private wiki to generate a community of devs for this endeavor

I guess the community would want to start documenting the layers of the boot process with hard- and software hooks (which may be an adventure in itself) to start looking for any possible exploits, keeping in mind the interactions between the sbf and the bootloader

Of course get up to speed with the milestone exploits and methods like the kexec, and see how much (if any) modifications they need to be applied to the dx

best of luck, we're counting on you!
