Question Exchange UI Issues

I got my Captivate yesterday, and I love it (replaced a Fuze running 6.5). I use exchange with Active Sync, and got it all setup. BUT, the UI is pretty horrible.

First off, every folder I have shows up as a tab. Wait, not every folder, some folders DON'T show up, and others shows up that were deleted months ago.

Also, the Inbox only seems to show new emails, it won't show the history for the past 2 weeks (even though that is what I set it to), maybe it is just today's email... Other folders seem to show the history as I would

Is there a way to change the folders to a heirarchical view? Is there something I am missing on showing all my emails ?

Thanks,
Mark

There is a market app called TouchDown that offers full exchange functionality. It's a little hokey on the contact syncing but it handles mail, calendar, tasks and notes very well. There are also a few other replacement exchange clients.

The built in Exchange client is not well suited for people who like to manipulate folders and such on their phone. I personally do all those functions on my desktop. I'm not sure why you are seeing deleted folders though. It's possible you need to run some maintenance on your exchange mailbox.

Thanks, I tried TouchDown last night, but couldn't get it to connect to my exchange server. I'll try it again.

The deleted folders are probably still in your deleted items folder. I had the exact same issue, cleared my deleted items and the ghost folders disappeared. Exchange was definitely priority #1 for Samsung.
