time problem

I have a wierd problem with my captivate.

When I go to "settings/date and time" and select automatic,

the time is off by 4 min (4 min behind the real time).

I whent to the ATT store where they said something about an atenna but I showed them the Captivate on display, put the time on manual, change the time and re-activated "automatic" and the time was correct. I did the same with my captivate and the time was 4 min off.

My iphone had also the correct time.

Any idea how to fix this problem?

based upon sim cards and locations... some areas of north dallas in particular (I see you're in ft worth) have had issues with time being off 4 minutes with particular sim cards... don't ask me how or why. I upgraded from an iphone to this phone... my iphone was off the 4 minutes you're talking about. I got them to give me a new SIM card in the process and now my time is correct.
Try that SIM card in the iphone now and see if your time is correct or not... either way, having the store replace the SIM card should fix the issue.
