Screen Keyboard....

Will I get used to the keyboard on the screen??? I purchased an X yesterday, but wont receive it until 7/27... so they say.

So I went to the Verizon store to try it out... I had heard that the keyboard screen was easy to use... hmmm..

Not sure if its just me... but not one word did I type without errors... couldn't hit the keys right.

I hope some of you that are using the X now... will confirm that I should get used to it...

I came from an iphone and now use swype! Switch to it under settings and you will never go back. Its truly a great innovation! Just b a bit patient and u will learn to love it!

I switched from front- facing keyboard, and I it took some getting used to. Mainly I kept over-reaching the keys. It got better pretty quickly. Ultimately hard keys will always be better, but modern virtual keyboards, like on the DX's, make the trade-off for more screen space worth while.

You may also want to consider the voice-to-text input available on Android. I tend to just use the keyboards, but it's good to have the option.

download and install the high res HTC_IME keyboard, it will be just like the eris keyboard, and can change from the qwerty to the regular one. Requires no hacking Works perfect for me! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416
