Light color sensor with Dinc camera

Does anyone know if it would be possible to make an app that could use the Incredible camera as a light meter and maybe a color sensor. I am interested in using it with the hcfr colormeter software if possible?

I think that's a good discussion of the iphone app. So yes in theory but I would seriously doubt it would be very accurate. At the very least because of lighting and white balance issues.
