No service when I boot to android?

When I start up XDANDROID on my topaz (HTC Pure), everything loads up find but I never have service or WiFi. I can't make calls, text, email, etc. I checked on this other thread and it said to add "force_cdma=0" to the startup.txt, but when I went to add it , it already had it in the startup.txt. Any help??

Doesn't it say "force_cdma=1"? Change that to 0

which version are you using? I am using 2.2. changing the value of force_cdma from 1 to 0. save, restart, OK.
