Bluetooth Play/Next/Prev not working?

Anyone have Bluetooth Play/Next/Prev controls working with the DroidX (i.e. AVRCP)?

I'm getting nowhere with an S9-HD or JayBird headset (even though they work fine with my old phone.

Well, I can answer myself

Did a hard reset and the bluetooth controls are working. So the Droid X really does sport AVRCP.

Was a pain to reinstall and reconfigure everything, but after going to a VZW store and seeing the demo input work, I bit the bullet. Installed same way I had things before, but now it works. Go figure.
