i don't know if it supports ota or not but it's likely that this feature is missing because of the missing option in the settings (like already written above)
i can also only agree that i't very annoying that we are forced to use windows software to flash (odin/kies) as i am a linux-only user (as well). nevertheless i managed to get odin working with a windowsXP running on virtualbox (not OSE beause of USB support) in a ubuntu 10.04 guest os... i have flashed the new JM2 firmware yesterday and it worked quite well.
i also think that OTA is good for noob-users who don't know what "flashing a rom" means but for geeks like us it's more about flashing custom rom's from recovery
(in the 10 month i had the htc magic i just installed 1-2 OTA but flashed a LOT of custom roms from the recovery)...
@bugs: i have the phone for about 10 days now and i had no problems with bugs so far. there are some problems (GPS and an occasional lag) but this are issues that will be fixed very soon. partly already with the JM2 firmware... everything else is really nice, so i can only recommend this device to you!
