Default Battery Insight?

I think eventually there should be a sticky'd battery thread. Oh well.

I ordered up one of these today to replace my aging Dream battery:

Haven't found any reviews on them. Anybody tried one of these out?

I haven't personally tried that battery but a good thing to keep in mind is too not buy a battery off of Ebay ever, for anything, not just your cell phone.

It's really hard too tell if a battery is brand new or not.
Phone: Nexus 4
ROM: CM 10.1
Kernel: CM 10.1
Recovery: TWRP
Radio: 2.0.1700.48

See, batteries are overpriced here in Canada, and hard to find, given that the HTC Dream is no longer for sale at Rogers anyways.

I'm an electronics guy, so I'll probably burn it in and see how it works out. Thanks for replying though.

Makes sense, report your findings back here if you don't mind.

I am in need of a battery I think....running on Eclair I get through half my day with a full charge. Then I have to fully charge again for the night and finally again when I go to sleep. Rather annoying if you ask me, but hey its a G1.

Ok, so I haven't wiped the battery stats yet (battery came 90% charged), here are my findings:

1) Plugged in the battery, without charging, at 4pm yesterday. I wanted to trash it as fast as I can, to see the worst case scenario. That means:

- WIFI, Bluetooth, GPS, sync, full brightness
- SetCPU throttling between 352 and 614 mHz
- SNESoid
- YouTube
- Throttling between UTMS and EDGE

It's now 1:21pm here, reporting 11% battery. I'm running consistent YouTube atm to see if my battery stats are accurate. But so far, this is way outlasting my Dream's battery.

Ok, this battery is pretty impressive. I haven't been able to get a screen cap application working on my phone, so you'll just have to trust me on these numbers. First, config / usage:

At about 70%, I decided to force 2G, as 3G in Calgary sucks, especially since I don't use data. I have used wifi on occasion, and played a few games. I have varied the brightness based on changing environments. Sound ringtones have been on all the time, as well as daily alarms.

Current values (I kid you not):
Time Since Last Unplugged: 2d 5h 48m 50s
Cell Standby: 46% consumption, time without a signal 2%
Phone Idle: 40%
Voice Calls: 8%, 53m 25s usage
Display: 5%, time on 5h 18m 2s
Wi-Fi: 3%, time on 2h 26m 58s

Honestly, for $10, this battery so far has been amazing.

This battery is great for the price, have had it a few weeks now, no issues.
