Default HD2 Linux/Android Q&A Thread - ASK YOUR QUESTIONS HERE!!

ATTENTION!!

I am looking for someone willing to start and maintain a DETAILED FAQ post at the beginning of this thread. The person who chooses to take on this undertaking will assume the roll of OP in this thread. I will re-assign this post to the user who decides to do it.

If you are interested in taking on this assignment, please send me a PM.

I am also aware that there may be other FAQ's elsewhere but I do think that this is really the best place for it. What better place to have all the most frequently asked questions plus their answers then the top of the Q&A thread?

Hope to hear from you guys soon!

Has anyone else noticed a fault when loading android. It isnt the normal fault where the os cant find the rootfs. Its basically a bunch of lines of code that look like this

I thought it was cause I had turned off the lighting control in windows mobile. but that had no effect. Btw it doesnt happen all the time.

Question hopefully not the stupidist question that will be asked here!

do i have to have hspl in order to run the Android on my hd2?

if so, what is the advantage, other than being able to change roms and void my warranty (if i can't remove it) of having hspl on my phone.

also, if i install hspl does it wipe out my stock ROM?

1.you technically dont need hspl for android.
2. about what you said. changing roms and radios. it can be removed for warranty. search it.
3. hspl doesnt wipe anything. just kinda "unlocks" the possibility to change roms and radios.

hope this helps

I dont mean to be rude to the OP in any way shape or form, but I see this as pointless thread, its Android its new nothing is going to stop them creating new threads and this probably wont get used, I hope it does though you could use all the links from the post i made here for answer to things seen as its drifted 4 pages down and i only made it yesterday dinner time
