Default OMG! My phone temperature rose to 64.7 degree Celsius !

I was downloading asphalt 5 on the hd2 running froyo 2.2 ...the package was 99 mb...so i disabled the screen timout ...and left the screen on so that it can download the game without the wifi getting off ...and that was around 1:50 Am at night ...i was a bit sleepy and kept my phone in between 2 cushions so that there is no light coming from the phone and disturbing me ...i slept ..and when i woke up at 8 :30 in the pmoring ..the first thing i did was to see my phone ...android was running ...screen was on ..the phone was so hot that i had to drop it on my bed ..it was super hot ..i thought that it musy have damaged my CPU ...but i dont know ....i had an battery application which showed my phone temeperature and it showed 65 degree ...omg ....the phone is working ...-------but i must have damaged anything inside due to overheating ???? do u guyzz think so ?

the reason for my phone getting hot is that i kept it closely tight within to cushions ! ...that was the wrong part i did ! ..the phone is still working perfect ! just scared about internal damage

You're all kind of genius ball into one, arent you?

running android with not-yet-perfected-for-HD2 power management (HOT)
using wifi to download 100mb file (HOT)
leave the phone running with screen timeout off (HOT)
..and the killer, stuck it between two cushions so NO HEAT COULD ESCAPE (RETARDEDLY HOT)

With that said, kudos for HTC for having a well-designed phone.

I think the thread title should be changed to "OMG! I kept the HD2 with Android running tightly between two cushions and it almost melted and I dunno why I didn't something smarter like flipping the phone face down instead"

Hehe! i know ! the phone is quite efficient that means ! quietly brilliant :P ... but still am getting it exchanged for a new one under warranty ..because my keyboard sucks ..because the touchscreen has some fault as reported by many other users ! hope they get me a new one or get the screen raplaced with a new one atleast !

even though i put the fone in silent mode ...but the media sound was still not silent ...so i imagined that if i keep the fone upside down . then if the download completes and the game starts and then i will be disturbed from my sleep :P..eheh
because of the games sound ..lol...thats why i kept it bw to cushions ...hahha ! i know its idiotic ...let us consider a new heat test experiment ! which was succesful
