How does it compare to the htc touch hd2/htc desire?

I have read it is slightly slow at taking photos which is not a problem.

How is the quality of the camera/video camera?

When the streak will be updated to Android 2.2, what benefits/improvements are we likely to get?

The camera is terrible, unfortunately.

Well, the quality is good, but the shutter speed is ridiculously slow so you get VERY blurry pictures unless you have a stupidly steady hand.
Also you can forget about taking photo's out of a moving car, just a blurry mess.

On the plus side, the video camera is pretty damn good

The 2.X update should bring many updates and hopefully Dell will tweak the camera settings. But, if not, as soon as dell releases the Kernel source we'll be able to do it ourselves!

It's good to hear the videos are good. I wasn't too bothered about the pictures as I have an HD2 which is fantastic for pictures but poor for videos...

Yup, camera is poor. Phone is great though
